India’s age old affair with saffron is revealed in the history of Kashmiri saffron, where local folklore associates its blooming with romance. The magic and mystery of this royal spice has become synonymous with the beauty and grandeur of Kashmir, where the fragrance and colour of the vast saffron fields have over the years fired the imagination of kings, poets and lovers.
Saffron’s unique colour, flavour and medicinal characteristics make this delicate spice one of the most precious in the world. A few strands can transform delicate dishes into gourmet fine dining delights.
